Yuletide Placemats

This ensemble will brighten any Christmas table setting. The table mats feature string pieced strips of novelty Christmas fabrics and a side applique panel of either a Christmas tree or a Christmas bauble with “Merry Christmas” stitchery. The candle mat/mug rug features a smaller strip pieced and appliqued Christmas tree design. Make these placemats in your favourite colours and Christmas fabric scraps. You could make a set, one for each of the family. The detailed instructions also include a technique for sewing the bindings on the placemats completely by machine (no hand sewing), making them quick to complete. Finished size of placemats is 12 ½” x 17 ½” and the candle mat is 7″ square.
