Windy Farm Cot Quilt

This gorgeous quilt is made of Quilt As You Go hexagonal blocks set in vertical rows. I have constructed a cot quilt from 33 blocks or you could, of course, make a larger quilt with more blocks or a Christmas tree skirt in a hexagonal arrangement. The comprehensive instructions provide details about the QAYG technique with options for hand or machine stitching.

My quilt was made from a delightful pastel range of fabric which included little farm scenes plus animals and trees to fussy cut.  The backs of the blocks were made using a few pastel plain solids.

This design would look gorgeous using any feature fabric with coordinating colours. This quilt is a lot of fun to make and can be a portable project to carry around to work on in class and on the move. The templates and pattern can also be used to make a christmas tree skirt or table runner.
