Pemberley is my “signature” quilt in the Jane Austen Quilt Collection. The design was inspired by an antique English coverlet made in the 1790s. I enjoyed using my favourite reproduction fabrics in a colour palette of blue, maroon, brown, green and gold to completely hand applique the English paper pieced and paper basted shapes. The quilt is named after the ancestral estate of Mr D’Arcy in Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice.
The pattern includes ten pages of typed notes and twelve A3 pattern sheets of full sized diagrams and instructions.

I am passionate about quilting, especially English paper piecing and fine hand applique. My favourite fabrics are reproductions from the 19th century and my style is often inspired by antique quilts.
