This beautiful quilt is a combination of English paper piecing and hand applique. Have fun “fussy cutting” a variety of flowers and motifs from the favourite fabrics in your stash.
Octagon shapes and squares are whip stitched together and then appliqued to a background fabric. This is surrounded by a border of alternating octagons and squares. Two pretty border fabrics complete the quilt.
The comprehensive typed pattern includes detailed instructions. The accompanying starter kit of templates includes (4) perspex “fussy cutting” window templates and the octagon and square paper templates. There are enough squares for the entire project and the octagon templates need to be used twice.
Finished size of quilt is 62″ square.
