This gorgeous bag features two crazy patchwork blocks on either side, both embellished with lovely lace and hand embroidery. When the side ties are undone, the bag opens flat to reveal roomy pockets and a large pincushion ready to keep all your sewing tools together. The bag is a great accessory to take to class or to sit next to your favourite sewing chair.
The two crazy blocks are produced using the paper foundation piecing technique, which is explained in great detail in the comprehensive instructions. All construction details for the bag are also given in the 9 type written pages of notes. This is a fun project to make, a lovely combination of machine piecing and hand work. You can do a little embroidery or go all out with fancy embellishments in your favourite colours.
Finished size is 8 1/2” x 9” (closed) and 8 1/2” x 20 1/2” (open)
