Jelly Mosaic Quilt Pattern

This stunning masculine quilt design is constructed of nine 14″ machine pieced “Mosaic Rose” blocks set straight in three rows of three blocks.  The blocks are constructed from 40 precut 2 1/2″ jelly roll strips plus a background fabric.  The secondary pattern of squares formed by the blocks is completed by the addition of a border of completer blocks and corner blocks.  The blocks are separated from subsequent borders by a 2″ strip of background fabric.  This is then bordered by a 1″ border of navy blue and a 6″ wide “piano key” style pieced border made from the remaining jelly roll strips.  The final border of 2″ of navy completes the quilt.  This would be a great quilt for a man or choose a more delicate colour scheme for a feminine result.  The pattern includes comprehensive cutting, piecing and pressing instructions plus diagrams.

The finished size of the quilt is 72″ square.  However, the optional addition of another wider border will make the quilt a Queen bed size.
