Chawton Village Dilly Bag Pattern

This charming drawstring bag features a gorgeous row of five different stitchery thatched cottages among trees and garden flowers.  Each cottage is different and very detailed, embroidered on a linen background in a variety of soft, pretty colours.  The sample was stitched in Perle 8 thread, however, stranded embroidery threads could also be used.  The base of the bag is a quilted circle and the stitchery panel is embellished with decorative folded prairie points. The ties are made from fabric strips or cord could also be used.  There is a handle loop attachment for easy handling.  The pattern includes the very detailed hand drawn stitchery design and comprehensive instructions for the construction of the bag.

Finished size of the bag is 10” tall with a base of 6” diameter.
