This beautiful set consists of a beautiful large mat with appliqué flowers and buds on a hexagon shaped background plus two smaller mats. The appliqué centres are surrounded by machine pieced squares and triangles in pretty fabrics. The appliqué has been fused in place and button hole stitched by hand using embroidery floss. The whole set has been hand quilted with Perle thread. Finished size of large mat is 22 1/2” across and small mat is 11 1/2” across

I am passionate about quilting, especially English paper piecing and fine hand applique. My favourite fabrics are reproductions from the 19th century and my style is often inspired by antique quilts.
