Sienna Quilt Pattern

I am delighted to introduce my beautiful new quilt “Sienna”.

The hexagonal blocks for this quilt are American hand pieced with a lovely hexagon rosette appliqued in the centre of each block. There are also five delightful hand appliqued flower blocks placed within the framework of the piecing. One simple elegant border stripe surrounds the quilt (“Ayla” by Max & Louise).

My sample was made from a wide variety of fabric scraps collected from different ranges in soft pastel tones of pink, blue, green and mauve.

This pattern includes very comprehensive instructions consisting of typewritten notes, templates diagrams and hand drawn applique pattern sheets to scale (total of 19 pages). The pattern will guide you step by step through all techniques and is perfect for the confident beginner.

3. The printed pattern with 2 packets of 1/2” hexagons and a fussy cutting template (more than enough to complete the hexagon rosettes in the centre of the pieced blocks).

4. The printed pattern with the hexagons, fussy cutting hexagon template and (2) solid perspex templates suitable for rotary cutting the large hexagon shape and the half hexagon in the hand pieced blocks.

5. The printed pattern with the hexagons, fussy cutting hexagon template and (2) perspex window templates suitable for marking the cutting and stitching line in the large hexagon shape and the half hexagon in the hand pieced blocks.

6. The works! The printed pattern with the hexagons, fussy cutting hexagon template, (2) solid templates for rotary cutting and (2) window templates for marking the stitching lines.
