Mermaid Quilt
Price range: $16.00 through $17.50
To coincide with the release of the brand new Tilda “Cotton Beach” fabric range, I present my new “Mermaid” Quilt design. The fabric is fun and beautiful and I have used all of the different prints in this quilt, including cutting a printed panel for the mermaid’s head and torso.
If you do not have access to this fabric, I have also drawn my own mermaid design so you can still complete the centre block with a pretty mermaid. The borders are a combination of applique and piecing.
I have used the fusible applique technique for this quilt and have stitched the buttonhole stitch by hand using stranded threads. Alternatively you can use your favourite machine raw edge applique technique.
Finished size of quilt is 62″ square (the quilt can easily be made larger with the addition of another floral or feature border).
