Forest Flowers Quilt

This delightful quilt is a combination of English paper piecing, hand applique and machine piecing.
The sample has been made from the new Tilda “Sanctuary” range featuring mellow colours and floral prints and a feature print of woodland trees and animals.
The quilt consists of nine blocks set straight in three rows of three with sashing strips and cornerstones in between. Eight of the blocks have a large EPP Dresden flower while the centre block is a pretty applique of tulips and leaves. All the blocks are set within a circular frame.
There is one plain border framing the blocks and then a machine pieced border of colourful rectangles.
The sample quilt makes a lovely lap or sofa size. The quilt could easily be adapted to a bed sized quilt with the addition of more plain borders in coordinating colours.
There are three options to obtain the pattern: via a downloadable PDF file, a printed pattern or a printed pattern with a kit of paper templates and a perspex fussy cutting template.
Finished size is 50” square.

I am passionate about quilting, especially English paper piecing and fine hand applique. My favourite fabrics are reproductions from the 19th century and my style is often inspired by antique quilts.
