Fleur Quilt Pattern

This large beautiful bed sized medallion quilt is a combination of applique and machine piecing.
The sample features fused raw edge applique which can be blanket stitched by hand or machine.
The centre block includes two lovely flowers and leaves around a circle feature. Scrappy machine pieced hour glass blocks surround the centre block. Next is a pretty border of more flowers, leaves and berries on scalloped vines with cornerstones of larger hour glass blocks.
A dramatic red border frames this centre and then a border of nine patch style blocks comes next. Another red border, more hour glass squares, two green borders either side of a checkerboard border and a gorgeous floral border complete the quilt.
The instructions include all the details for rotary cutting, piecing and pressing directions, and include many diagrams.
This is a large bed sized quilt which could be made smaller by omitting some of the outer borders. The design is very suitable for using many scrap pieces from your stash.
Finished Size is 88″ square.
