Daphne Table Runner

This gorgeous table runner design features some beautiful hand applique embellished with hand quilting using Perle 8 thread.
The centre large rose flower is surrounded by four curving stems with buds and leaves. This piece is padded and turned into a circular medallion with a decorative extended striped piping. The circle is appliqued to a beautiful feature floral fabric.
While my centre square design was turned into a table runner with the addition of applique strips of flowers and stems plus triangles, the centre block could alternatively be used to create a lovely cushion, bag or the centre block of a medallion quilt.

This pattern is available in printed or downloadable form with the option of a two hour video tutorial. My video includes demonstrations of my applique techniques including how to make perfect 1/4” bias stems, preparing flowers, leaves and circles, the hand applique stitch, turning the centre into a circle, adding the bias strip, the side panels as well as hand quilting.
