Cassandra’s Carry All Bag

The front of this lovely bag is constructed using paper foundation piecing techniques on the sewing machine. The seams are embellished with lots of hand embroidery using simple stitches.  The sides of the bag have tie closures and the top has two soft handles.

When opened, the bag sits flat for easy access to all of the contents.  The inside of the bag has different pockets on the two halves.  One side has a crazy patchwork pocket made using a string pieced technique.  There is also a pretty felt rectangle to be used as a needle and pin keeper.  The other half features a pleated mesh pocket which can accommodate more bulky tools and balls of thread.

The pattern includes comprehensive step by step instructions and diagrams for every aspect of the construction of the bag.  The full size foundation pattern is included. The pattern is offered as a printed copy or a downloadable PDF file.
